Creases or cracks found on some fruits are caused by variations in the rate of water absorption. The flesh of the fruit acts as a sponge and expands each time that the plant is watered and retracts when the soil is dry. These variations in water levels contribute to cracking. To obtain identical fruits, water the plants consistently and regularly.

Tomatoes are easy to grow. If you follow a few simple rules, you will get an abundance of juicy tomatoes.
Plant the tomatoes in a spot where they will receive eight hours of sunlight daily.
The recommended spacing between plants and between rows is 40 to 60 cm. Read the “Tomato Mania” colour label in the pot.
Avoid planting the tomatoes where legumes grew the previous year. The excess nitrogen left in the soil by the legumes could adversely affect maturation.
When planting, cover the stem of the plant up to the first leaves with garden soil. It is also a good time to stake the plant.
Tomato plants prefer soft soil with a pH ranging from 6.0 to 7.0. Fertilization must be done on a regular basis. However, too much nitrogen slows down the fruit maturing process.
To prevent diseases and pest insects, rotate your crops so that the tomatoes return to their initial planting area once every three years.
